It requires a 300 series motherboard. Make sure you use a MB (300 series) and compatible socket and compatible memory. I used gigabite z390 MB and gskill compatible memory with a sythe air cooler.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it depends on the computer, the operating system wont affect gaming status much, but the difference only comes down to features, i wouldnt say you need a whole new motherboard, but it also depends on a number of factors, and what you really want to acheive. there are a number of great options to start with. if you have a prebuilt desktop you ,ay be able to upgrade a few components such as your RAM, maybee cpu (depending on motherboard), storage and your graphics card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The CPU is one part of a gaming setup but I think one of the most important parts is the graphics card but you don't need windows 10 pro. You can have the home version or even a later version of Windows but windows 10 is best just because it has more content continuously being added.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The version of windows doesn’t matter. This is a great chip for gaming. As for needing a new motherboard, it’s impossible to say without knowing what mobo or cpu you currently have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You won't need to buy windows again as long as you are not changing motherboards. There are two versions of any windows OS (I'm not talking about home or pro). The OEM version is linked to the motherboard it is activated on, and typically cannot be transferred to another one. The retail version of windows can be transferred between machines, as long as it is only activated on one machine at a time. Either way, as long as you are only changing the CPU, you will be ok. If you need to change the motherboard, you will need to know if you have an OEM key, or a retail key. To check this, open the command prompt, and type in "slmgr -dli" without the quotes, and hit enter. After a few seconds, a window will pop up, and it will show towards the end of the second line whether you have a retail or OEM key (as shown in the image below). If you have an OEM key and need to change the motherboard, you will need to buy a new windows key.
