You will only be working on the same information if you are linked to a network. When you open Quickbooks, you have to open the same active file to work from both computers. If you don't have your computers networked, consider Quickbooks on the cloud so you can log in to same info from any computer. You can always call Intuit to confirm.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. We do a backup of current info from the desktop onto a jump drive and do a restore onto the laptop. Before doing this, verify current info (ex: current checking balance) so that you can be sure it restores correctly. You'll then need to do the same thing to go back to using the desktop. Only one system can be used at a time or the info will need to be re-entered.
