“Does Quickbooks have to be used online”

• NO. You have to get your payroll updates from them online but the rest of it is done on your computer. I don't store my backup on line. I store it on my harddrive and then make a flash drive copy to keep off site.

• If you are running a payroll subscription, then you will need access to the internet for tax tables and tax updates. You are not required to have interne in order to access the software. Purchase a hard copy from Best Buy and install onto your laptop/pc. If you are worried about security, then simply connect to the internet before running payroll, or connect every couple of weeks and manually update.
