QuestionWould this work on a MacBook air for a headset and a separate microphone? The other USB is taken by a wireless mouse connector. (Only two USB ports on MacBook air)

- Answer I don't have a Mac, but I would assume a USB port is a USB port. I am using it on a Dell windows machine with only one regular USB port. I have my mouse, an external light and a passport drive plugged in. It has been working fine.

- Answer This is not a 'powered' usb hub. I cannot speak to using it for many of the devices you mentioned. I would advise purchasing a more powerful hub than this one. Or, roll the dice. I've been quite happy with it, but my needs are more simple than yours.

- Answer I'm not very savvy about such things, but I have used a cable, usb at one end and phone connector at the other end, to connect to my pc to transfer pictures from my android phone. I've never had a use for and external driver, other than flashdrives/pendrives. The usb hub with the 4 usb ports listed here, is not for the purpose you describe.
