Either powering off or holding radio button turns it off without phone app. I bellieve. I always used the app to switch between radio and bluetooth.

You can then hold the Bluetooth button to clear any connected devices, then make sure you phone's Bluetooth is on, and power the speaker off and back on to connect via Bluetooth.
