• It does have a on/off button. When not in use, you might want to turn it off.

• Hi, I'll be glad to assist! The Ion Sport Go has a rechargeable lead-acid battery that will charge when the unit is plugged into an outlet. Leaving the unit plugged in will not affect the battery life.
