Does this mount turn horizontal? null

Yes, you may adjust the position to what seems almost any degree. I mounted the bracket vertically and had to use a thin line of GORILLA GLUE around the mounting pad after a few days, with the traditional sticky pad failing. The mount is rock solid and the bracket holds my phone. Portrait is the standard position, but you COULD mount landscape, but you will need to constantly fiddle with the arms that hold your device in place. Good luck.
