Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.About 2 inches, just enough to rest your phone. The whole flat portion goes into your CD drive. There is no obstruction of vision at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.if you look at the pictures, the fins that are triangular and at very back are the only thing the is inserted about 1 to 3/4 inch into the CD player. the rest of the mount protrudes from the CD slot so your phone will be about 4 inches in front of your player.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't work well in the recessed space for your phone because the top of your phone will hit the dash. Try the suction cup version. It works much better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It slides in the CD slot nice and snug only sticking out the arms of the holder. It's a little chucky, but your phone will stay in place!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’ve installed the holder in a Toyota Camry, KIA Sorento, Ford Explorer and older Chevy Silverado. The holder protrudes out from CD about the width of two fingers. On the Camry, it does cover some of the infotainment screen, thus the backup screen, but I don’t use the backup screen, I still look over my shoulder. I hope this helps.
