Best auto phone holder. When installed in CD slot can adjust phone horizontally to any position. When installed in CD slot the holder has a locking mechanism that prevents the phone holder from falling out of the slot. Inserting my iPhone 6 is very easy and the holder does accept the phone with its cover, the Tech 21. Once the phone is in the phone holder it is locked in securely. Taking the phone out of the holder is very easy as well. It is of high quality design and the material used in its manufacturer is top notch. The price for this phone holder is extremely reasonable. I love the fact that the holder is installed at a location in my vehicle that is at eye level and very convenient to look at; especially when using my phone's GPS map. I do not use my radio's CD since I hear my music that is on my Apple phone via my auto's radio speaker. Do not hesitate to buy this phone holder, you'll be glad you did!

An excellent product. Would prefer that it didn’t quite hang over the display underneath, but that’s hardly the fault of iOttie (and I can just swivel the phone up, temporarily, to get around that when I need to see the rear view/reverse camera). If I ever want to use the CD player in the future, removing is pretty easy. Installation was a snap.

I had to purchase this one, because the other car mount that goes on the dash was not compatible with my car. This works very nicely and is easy to use. (I wish I had bought this in the first place).

Purchased this to mount my phone instead of having it in my cup holder and it holds pretty good, no issues when putting in the cd slot.

So first time buying a cd slot Mount and I’m very impressed. Always thought covering cd slot was bad. Thinking I was going to use it for cd. Set up was easy. Instructions was easy to read. Less then a minute installation. The one touch release is a great to have.

I think is great but if there were bottom guards to hold the phone weight it would be perfect.

This is very effective for new hands free law requirements. It is very sturdy when installed correctly and takes lest than 5 minutes before ready to use. Directions were not correct in package. PRO TIP: There is a lever on the underside of the flat section you cannot see in pics. it comes in the box in the neutral position which is all the way towards the front part where phone holder is (towards you). the gripping power of the three fins that stick into the CD slot will not work until that lever is locked into place as far as it will go away from you when facing the mount with fins in CD slot. Its a bit stiff when you push that lever into place and feels like you might break it but... it just makes it secure. Try doing it a few times while you are holding it in your hand to see how it engages. Then stick the fins in the CD slot as far as you are able and push the lever into a place all the way towards the back of the mount towards the CD slot. its a bit stiff but I guess thats what makes it secure. Feels pretty rock solid after that. I have a really old light weight phone so cannot say it holds my new big heavy phone but I really don't think it will be a problem with large phone. Its very secure when properly engaged. Once that is securely mounted, depress the two bottom levers at the front of the mount where phone goes in towards the center and the two upper levers that hold the phone will extend out till they click. Then press your phone into the logo which is actually a trigger mechanism to make the holding arms SNAP into place on the sides of your phone. very simple and effective. Note: center the phone before depressing the logo square with it so your phone will be balanced for better results, but I fine it holds it very secure for my small iphone 5 balanced or not. Feel like this is a very simple and eloquent solution with excellent execution for hands free without the expense of blue tooth for older vehicles especially, but you could do both. Good Value for money. Very happy with it hoping it last a long while.

I love this thing. With the introduction of bluetooth and usb thumb drives who even uses cds anymore. This device gives the cd slot purpose again. Very simple to install also. It maintains a nice and sturdy hold of my cellphone. It allows you to turn your phone to landscape or portrait if preferred. It is also possible to tilt your phone towards you (the driver) for better viewing of the screen. My phone is a note4 with a commuter series otterbox case and my phone still fits inside this device. My wife saw it and immediately swiped it for her car. I went back to BestBuy to buy another one but they were out of them. I may just order another one online.

We loved this so much we bought another one. Very easy to install and it holds my iPhone 11 perfectly. It’s adjustable so any size phone will work. It’s strong too. We don’t use our CD player and I didn’t want a holder that sticks to the dashboard so this style is perfect. It’s easy to disconnect your phone by just pressing the side levers. Highly recommended.

Great product. Easy installation. My CD slot is near top point of dashboard. A lower setting CD slot would probably be more appropriate to reduce bouncing and vibration depending on the weight of your device. No complaints, easy to use, automatically adjusts to device widthand easy to remove device when exiting your vehicle. Definitely does its job and worth the price paid.

For someone who is constantly on the phone for work support calls, this product was exactly what I was looking for. I needed a solid hands free device while not ruining my interior or break after a few months. I hardly use my CD player in my car, and this was the perfect solution. It is rigid and does a great job holding my phone while I am driving. It is placed in an optimal position to where it is not too low that my drinks bump my phone, or too high where it is blocking my AC vents or clock. Granted this is all due to the car’s design, but the CD holder was by far the best position for my car. I have the back nut tight enough so that my phone does not move while driving, but I can rotate my phone into landscape mode for driving directions easily. Removing my phone is easy with the two “prongs” in the side of the cradle. As soon as I place my phone into the backplate of the cradle, the phone is securely locked into the cradle and will not slip out. I’ve done several road trips for work with this, and I have been absolutely satisfied with its performance.

I have always wanted a phone mount for the car but the idea of a mount on your vent blocking AC or heat and not to mention how flimsy it may be turned me off on a phone mount all together. Then I saw this CD mount and thought I’d give it a go. Does anyone really play CDs anymore ? The idea of it blocking my CD player didn’t bother me a bit. It installed quickly and painlessly and is super sturdy. My phone has yet to bounce out of the holder and doubt it ever will. It clamps the phone tight and it’s a one handed operation to put it on the mount and take it off. It also has a swivel to adjust the viewing area to your liking. My only advice if you’re thinking of purchasing is look where your CD player is on your dashboard mine is below the LCD screen and buttons for the music so it’s slightly in the way BUT it’s not the mounts fault it’s a tiny inconvenience. So see where your CD drive is before you purchase just to make sure it doesn’t block things. Overall this thing is exactly what I wanted and I use it everyday

So I bought this because of all of the road rules. It goes in VERY snuggly in my 2015 Nissan Sentra. I have challenges removing it from the CD changer quickly. So I don't use it currently. I used it all of 3 weeks. If you have a screen just below the CD entry point, and if your phone is vertical, your phone will cover up the screen. Not an issue for music. However, this will obtruct your view when looking at the screen when using your back up camera. Because I got tired of moving the phone around, when backing up, I have taken this out of the car. If you do not have a screen below the CD changer, this is a cheap solution to hands free. If you have a screen this can be an annoyance.

I really like this phone holder. It clips in the CD player slot and holds well. It is easy to take in and out. The phone stays in place but is easy to move around and put in and take out. The price is very reasonable and the quality is good.

I picked this phone mount up quickly without much thought and after having it a while - I still like it and still use it. It’s easy to switch from car to car and holds the phone well. I find it much better than mounts that use the air vents.
