It has "Obstacle Avoidance". As long as its turned on it should avoid poop/wires/shoes/blankets/etc. However when it in Mapping Mode, to learn the layout of your space, it will not avoid obstacles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This model does come with pet waste detection. You can enable the robot to allow pictures to be taken of obstacles for later review. My cat threw up on the floor and the robot avoided the obstacle! Somtimes it avoids non obstacles on accident, but after reviewing you can then have the robot sent back out to spot clean these places. You can chose to allow irobot to also see the pictures or to only show you for review. I believe the pet waste detector works even with the picture function disabled, but then you may have randomly avoided spots and you wouldnt know the reason it avoided this
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It supposedly does have poop detection but ran into my actual dog a few times (I have a very large dog). So with that said, it still bumps into objects and would not trust it entirely.
