“This model says it maps the rooms and learns the layout of your home. Does that mean it can only be used on one floor? I was hoping to use it on other levels of the house,”

No. It can map multiple floors and save them. I have 3 maps saved on mine corresponding to the 3 floors in my house. You can name the different maps and the different rooms as well and ask it to clean a particular room or the whole map.

When I’m ready for it to do rooms on a floor other than the one it’s docked on, I carry it to the spot I started the mapping and use the app to do the rest. It will store each floor separately and give you a drop down to select. It defaults to the floor I use most.
