• There is no relation between the location service on the phone and Roomba's mapping functionality.

• No, it doesn't require your phone's location as of the time I am writing this response. As the software is updated, this could change. Access is requested when setting it up in order to setup WiFi for the first time, and so that you can use certain automations.

• Location is not typically required for use, as our robots are designed for use only in the country that they are purchased. Bluetooth must be turned on with Wi-Fi connected robot use.
