I have an older Roomba model 690 and the S9+ is a bit less noisy but still loud.

Not too noisy-but trying it at the store. It makes a momentary big noise when it empties the bin.

Very quiet in fact, it is less than half the noise of the older versions of iRobot

It depends on the setting. I find that eco mode works well for most of my needs. It is the quietest setting. It gets a little louder on standard mode and on turbo it is fairly loud. Maybe as loud as my Dyson. When the robot empties itself into the docking station it is really loud for about 30 seconds.
