Why would you use this for a TV? I mean what’s it do?? null

I used it for a computer monitor to connect to a docking station.

Playing Video from your Desktop/Laptop PC through this cable to a TV. Laptop cable is same except a smaller connector. If your TV can handle higher resolutions this is the way to go. (YouTube, ROKU, Apple TV, Prime etc)

JDC158 is for converting DP to HDMI signal from a computer for example, to a TV, monitor, or projector.
