That's just a data transfer designation. Much faster than the older 2.0 The USB plug we're used to seeing, rectangle, is called a type A. The specs say you need a USB 3.0 plug on your device to transfer 4k, but I had no issues with HD out of an older 2.0 plug, and 4k for a little while, but didn't want to push it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the USB 3.0 is the standard USB size, the only difference between them is the speeds - USB 2.0, 3.0, but they will work in the USB-A port. ** Feel free to contact the Technical Support team mentioned on the packaging for further assistance or if you have any other questions and someone will be glad to assist you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It used to be the standard shape and size of the port. Now Type C is becoming the standard. I am myself looking into adapters so I can connect my Type A (older model MacBook Air) USB 3 port to an HDMI cable. Unfortunately things change size and shape so fast I can't keep up.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The difference is the speed of the port. You should use a USB 3.0 port for USB 3.0 devices. The port is typically blue in color, rather than black.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.3.0 USB is used more for android products. I was connecting iMac to android projector and required this product.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, and as others have pointed out, 3.0 refers to a specification that supports a faster speed then a USB 2.0 port would. So if you have a USB 1.0, 2.0, or 3.0 port, they are the same size, and will all allow you to plug in the same devices, but some devices will not work or will not perform as well unless it is a USB 3.0 port. Often computers will have both USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, and you can usually distinguish them by some blue color on the inside of the port. Newer computers will often have USB C ports, but those are much smaller, like what you would see on a phone (actually some phones now have USB C ports).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is. 3.0 refers to the speed of the usb, not to the size.
