- Answer The JUA354 is intended for adding monitors; however, it seems the Macbook Air 2020 does have not USB Type-A and therefore we do not recommend. Instead, we recommend the JCD381 as it connects directly via USB-C and it will provide 2 HDMI, Ethernet, and 2 USB Type-A ports all in one.

QuestionDoes this USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter depend on a software installation on top of drivers that is NOT displaylink technology? I need a software-based adapter that does not rely on displaylink as I have already hit my displaylink 3 monitor max on my dock.

- Answer Correct, this uses drivers made by the manufacturer and has nothing to do with displaylink, which is only for splitting DisplayPort signals.

- Answer Hello Data, yes, the JUA354 is a great device to use for an additional HDMI monitor as it provides up to 4k resolution for you. - Answer Unfortunately, the JUA354 is intended for Windows and Mac computers and not phones; however, if you wish to simply mirror the phone screen onto the TV, I would recommend the JUA165C. Simply download the j5 Display App onto your phone > plug in the JUA165C with the HDMI to HDMI cable to the TV, monitor and it works. - Answer No this device is vidoes output only. To do that you will need a Capture Card. I recommend the JVA02

While we have not been able to test our devices with the XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro, I have been able to verify that XP-Pen website states that the use of a USB-to-HDMI or VGA adapter is acceptable ( https://www.xp-pen.com/faq-69-36.html ). In which, I can say the j5create - Male USB 3.0 to Female 4K HDMI Adapter (JUA354) should work fine for your needs!

If you are needing to connect an HDMI output device to your computer, the JUA354 will not be the product for your needs. However, I recommend that you consider looking into the j5create - Live Capture HDMI-to-USB-C Video Adapter (JVA02) or j5create - HDMI to USB-C Game Capture Station (JVA04). These video capture cards will allow you to connect an HDMI output device, such as your streamcam, to a computer for video input.
