“Can I use this to connect my Lenovo Yoga 3 to my router? If so, what else will I need. I only have the power cord to Yoga. My wifi is acting up and prefer a secure internet connection.”

Yes. You will need an ethernet cable as well- see the recommended product. But you may need a longer one depending on how far your computer is from the router.
