• Yes, if your laptop allows for thunderbolt charging. This model comes with a 90W charger so make sure of your Laptops power limits and or requirements.

• Yes, you can. You can use your USB-C charger adapter to power the unit. They also sell a version with a power pack for additional $50. The model number has a "P" at the end for power cord. I did notice it charges way slower charging then my Apple power cord.
