• I used a headset with a mic and I believe the people on the other end heard the mic from the headset rather than the mic on the camera. There is no physical button or switch on this camera to mute the mic but I believe you can do it through the software. Hope that helps.

• Hi Stephanisat - I have never tried to do that. Before I set my Bitdefender up correctly - that blocked the mic from working. So theoretically there must be a way to disable the mic - but I don't know how.
