“This camera has a 4 1/2 foot USB cable. I need about 6 feet. What do recommend ? Will the extension work just as well ? Thanks STAN”

• I would simply go with a longer USB cable, if it has a removable cable. If the cable it comes with is hard-wired into the back of the webcam, as some are, then, yes, a USB [Type A "male" to Type A "female," I assume?] extension cable might be the only solution...? Such as one of these (6' and 10', respectively):
