It does not "clip" on, instead it just sits on top of the screen with an angled piece bracing against the back of the screen to keep it from falling back.

It's not really a clip. It sits on top of my monitor with more of a brace you can use to adjust the positioning of the camera. It's not really secure, but stable enough to work.

Sort of - it doesn't "clip" onto anything, but has a triangle-type base that can hook over the top of the laptop and be adjusted to fit. It stayed fine without falling on my Macbook Pro, but we honestly set it on other objects most of the time to get a better "top-down" angle.

It does have a clip on it to attach to the top of a monitor.
