Try another connection point. I bought one of these and it worked great for about a week - then it developed a "Crackling" noise every time I spoke. It was obviously a short in the cord somewhere. I had to return mine.

For further technical assistance on getting the webcam to work properly; I recommend contacting the support team on the packaging and a representative will be ready to assist in getting this to work as intended.
