i’m having same issue - very confused what the power source is for the stand ?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will charge the laptop BUT your charger has to provide enough power. Connect the charger from the wall to the power input and then the USB-C port on the INSIDE of the stand to the PC USB-C. It charges mine. I use a 100W charger but my laptop (Lenovo C940 15") needs at least 90W to charge. Check the Watts on your charger against the required watts for you PC. Personally, I would go to the next higher wattage to avoid having power issues.

The JCT425 needs to connected on the inner part of the JCT425 where it reads "Host" and the other end of the cable connects to the computer. To charge your computer, your computer needs to support charging via USB-C; if the computer does not support charging via USB-C - it will not charge unfortunately. ** Feel free to contact the j5create Technical Support team for further assistance or if you have any other questions and someone will be glad to assist you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It requires an 18 watt (minimum) Power Adapter, or any rapid charging power adapter should work. You need that adapter that plugs into a wall outlet, power strip, etc, and you need a USB to USB-C charging cord. Plug the adapter into the wall, the USB end goes in the power adapter then plug the USB-C end into the USB-C port on the right of the dock that is marked "Power In". You can also just buy a USB-C Power Adapter separately but they can be pricey.
