A:Answer If they fit your ears properly it will make the loud noises a bit quieter but not negate then completely. The noise cancelling isnt going to be as powerful as over the ear headphones such as bose or Sony, but that's true for almost all in ear buds. They do work quite well to drown out some noise passively however, again, as long as the fit is good.
