• For me, it sits mostly on my ear and not in my ear. The rubber tip to the listening device doesn't fit in my ear canal. But it rests nicely on my ear.

• It has a hook that secures it over and around to the ear and a ear bud inserts into the ear at the same time. Hope this helps.
