  • QuestionIs the TSA approved? Expat in area with frequent outages

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Dear customer, thank you for your inquiry about the Jackery products. Most power stations available on the market for general consumer and commercial use typically do not require TSA approval, as they are not associated with air transportation. If you are considering transporting these products in your vehicle for travel, there are no restrictions, even though they contain lithium batteries. Should you plan to use the power station for air travel, we recommend the Jackery Explorer 100 Plus. With a substantial battery capacity of 31,000mAh (99.2Wh), it is well-suited to meet the power needs of most 3C devices. This model is designed with safety as a priority, fully complying with UN 38.3 transportation standards for lithium batteries, ensuring a high level of safety for travel by air and rail. Please note that while passengers are generally allowed to carry lithium batteries with a capacity of 100Wh or less without special airline approval, regulations can vary by country and airline. We recommend checking the specific guidelines of your travel carrier for the most accurate information. In the event of emergency power needs, we highly recommend considering a power station with a larger battery capacity to ensure you have ample and reliable backup energy. • Questionwill it run a sump pump and for how long?

    Asked by boop.

    • Answer Dear Customer, the Jackery Solar Generator 300 Plus, with a capacity of 288Wh and an output power of 300W, is not designed to charge the high-power sump pump (Sump pumps, responsible for pumping water out of your home's lowest level, typically come with a horsepower rating of either 1/3 hp or 1/2 hp, and they use between 800 and 1050 watts when running, respectively.). However, for such applications, you may consider a higher-capacity power station that can meet the specific power requirements of your devices. Should you have any further inquiries or require additional support, please feel free to reach out to us (Customer Service: [email protected] / +1-888-502-2236). Asked by Bb.

    • Answer Dear Customer, the Jackery E300, equipped with a 288Wh battery capacity and capable of delivering 300W continuous or 600W peak output, can power a boiling water kettle with a range of 120W to 300W. • QuestionI need to run a vacuum pump (that lift my boat) 3/4 HP, 12.5 AMPS @ 110 volts for 10 minutes, 2 times a day.

    Asked by Sonny.

    • Answer This Explorer 300 would not be sufficient to run that pump. That pump will draw roughly 1500 watts. You'll need a system that can supply at least 1500 watts, but realistically, you'd want a bit more for surge capacity and safety margin. And 1500 watts for 20 minutes a day is 500 watt hours, not counting some losses. So you'd need a bare minimum of 500 watt hours of capacity, again with more than that for a bit of fudge factor and to account for losses. So maybe a 2000 watt continuous inverter with 750+ watt hour capacity. Something like that. And if you are hoping to charge it via solar, then you'll also want enough solar capacity to reliably produce 500+ watt hours a day.

  • QuestionWill it power a full size refrigerator?

    Asked by Barb.

    • Answer Dear customer, thank you for your interest in Jackery products. The Explorer 300 Plus features a 288Wh battery capacity with a 300W continuous output and a 600W peak output. While this is ideal for smaller devices, it may not be sufficient to power a full-size refrigerator. On average, home refrigerators consume between 350W and 780W, depending on factors such as size, type, age, and ambient conditions. For powering a refrigerator reliably, we recommend a power station with a higher capacity, such as the Explorer 1000 v2 (approx. 1.7-hour runtime), Explorer 1000 Plus (approx. 2-hour runtime), Explorer 2000 v2 (approx. 3.3-hour runtime), Explorer 2000 Plus (approx. 3.3-hour runtime), or Explorer 3000 Pro (approx. 5-hour runtime), which are specifically designed to support larger appliances. If you need assistance selecting the right product for your power needs, please feel free to reach out to our customer service team at [email protected] or +1-888-502-2236 (Weekdays, 9 AM to 5 PM PST).
