“how do these compare to beats or skullcandy?”

• I personally think that beats are over rated. They have great sound (best bass), but they didn't stay in my ears when working out as they are 'over the ear' versus the JayBirds are 'in the ear'. The battery life on the beats was not as good as the JayBirds. The price on the beats were more expensive compared to the JayBirds (at the time when i purchased). I didn't look at skull candy as they were not even listed in the tech reviews for gym workouts.

• I haven't had skullcandy but compared to the power beats these are a better fit
