“Does anyone who owns the X3s have either of the previous versions? I have the originals (and am happy with them) and am wondering if it's worth it to upgrade. How do the X3s compare to the previous versions?”

They are a huge improvement from the originals. The over all size is smaller and the speaker housing that goes into your ear is smaller to. Way more comfortable! The sound is amazing, and you have the option to customize the EQ settings with their app! Definitely worth the upgrade in my eyes!

Additionally, the Jaybird application allows for adjustments of the sound of the earbuds, even providing some presets for various genres of music. Battery life is about 6-7 hrs, but does use a different charger than the micro USB of the 2's. Finally, the range is a definite issue if you plan on having your device away from you more than 25-30 feet. The x2's provided me a range of around 60 ft, allowing for me to move around the gym freely. With these, if I plan on going away from my rack, I usually have to take my phone with me.

Even the Jaybird Freedoms are no comparison to the X3s and the Freedoms can use same MySound app. X3s are definitely worth the money so just get a pair, try them, I'm sure you'll LIKE if not LOVE them since you are already a fan of Jaybird products. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The battery life and range is still excellent the smaller profile and controls i like ( jury still out on the new charging dock ) and if you like more base having the ability to customize the sound it is a nice feature I went for it and I'm happy!
