“What is the best sound mode for movies? I have tried all modes but I am still having trouble hearing voices in certain scenes. I have to turn the volume up higher than I want to causing action scenes to be way too loud. I am using the HDMI arc.”

Make sure that you have the surround sound mode button on to have higher volume cone out of the sound bar.Sometime’s it turns off whenever you switch the sound modes.You can use the voice mode better if the bass is too loud and lower the bass on your controller.

The low volume is mainly because of the audio format of the movie you're watching. You can try "Night mode" this decreases the volume of loud sounds when audio is played, this is only available for Dolby Digital soundtracks.
