• Yes it does. I can unplug it mid show, and plug it back in (power cable) and it connects up almost instantly.

• Yes, the subwoofer and the soundbar of our JBL Bar 500 automatically connects to each other. For reference, please check the Owner's Manual, pg. 12 "6.SETUP".
