Q: QuestionThe sound bar turns off after 2 days on its own. Why? How can I fix the issue this is the second one I have had. I took the first one back

• A:Answer I have the same issue. I have a brand new Samsung tv and bought the jbl 500 sound bar. They exchanged the sound bar with another new one but same issue. Literally every 2 days I have to unplug and plug in the soundbar for it to get sound. HDMI Cables in right. Jbl troubleshoot and Samsung troubleshoot. Sound comes back but the next 2 days it doesn’t. No one seems to know how to help. Let me know if you get yours to work. I’m thinking on returning and getting a Samsung sound bar to see if the same thing will happen. This is very frustrating.

Q: QuestionI just bought a new LG oled tv at the same time , the sound bar was working properly on the first day ( Saturday) on sunday morning it was also working until sunday night when i was watching a movie, at that point it started shutting off every 10 minutes

• A:Answer This happened to me, too. Essentially, the JBL doesn't recognize a signal and enters standby mode. To fix, make sure the HDMI is from the TV eARC to soundbar eARC. If already there, try unplugging and replugging the HDMI. If this doesnt resolve the problem, unplug the HDMI and then unplug power to JBL. After 30 sec, power the JBL, and then plug in the HDMI.

Q: QuestionCan I use the Bar 500 to listen to music from my iPhone via Airplay 2 without connecting the sound bar to a TV? Does the sound bar need to be connected to a TV during set up?

• A:Answer Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you can listen to music from your iPhone via Airplay without connecting the soundbar to a TV. Please make sure that the soundbar is connected to your home network. For reference, please refer to the Owner's Manual pg. 11, "5.3 Connection with your home network". Then, go to pg. 17, "7.7 Play through AirPlay" to set up the soundbar with AirPlay.

• A:Answer Thanks for reaching out. Our JBL Bar 500 is compatible with a Sony OLED 4K TV. For the best Dolby Atmos experience, we recommend connecting the HDMI cable from the HDMI ARC of your TV to the HDMI OUT (TV ARC/TV eARC) of the soundbar.

Q: QuestionI have an Audio-Technica turntable with a pre-amp built in. It has USB and 3.5 mm line out options. Can I play this through the USB port? Or, can I use the 3.5mm line out to a 3.5 mm adapter cable to USB to play records?

• A:Answer Thanks for reaching out. Our JBL Bar 500 can be connected to a source device via HDMI and Optical cable, you can also plug a USB storage device for MP3 file playback. It doesn't support an Aux connection and can't be connected using a USB cable from a source device.
