- Answer the sound bar is completely controlled by my tv remote, I haven’t noticed a problem with it at all. The sound system does come with a remote but not really needed if you use the tv remote

- Answer Im sure it would be fine if kept dry, but with nothing for the bass to reverb off of (4 soolid walls, etc) im not sure how it would sound.

QuestionI have a 2017 Samsung tv with optical, currently running a 2017 JBL 3.1. All is fine and soundbar is controlled by Roku voice remote for channels, volume and power. Roku voice runs both IR and RF. this JBL 500 has optical. Will it work

QuestionUsing jbl bar 500 with bravia TV, via hdmi/earc every 30s the soundbar cuts out for 3-5 seconds. It displays "pcm" on the soundbar when sound comes back. No similar issue via optical, but using optical I can't control volume via TV remote

- Answer Thank you for reaching out. To isolate the issue with your JBL Bar 500, please check the audio settings of your TV and set it to PCM or Dolby. Please ensure the HDMI cable is plugged in properly. We also recommend trying other HDMI cable to know if it is an issue with the cable. Lastly, try to do a power cycle by unpluging the TV and soundbar for at least one minute, and plug them again. If the issue remains, please contact us.

- Answer Excellent. When the sound profile was enhanced to accentuate to maximize the bass in my room, it resulted in a floor-vibrating experience. Normal profile is pleasantly thumpy.

- Answer It should as long as you have a proper Optical Audio Cable conncted from the sound bar to your TV. If you are using Bluetooth the Q Feature will not work

QuestionBought 12/23 as a gift & have used it a few times. Tried to use it a few days ago & it wont turn on. New remote batteries, unplugged and replugged. No issues with the TV that was plugged into the same outlet. Anybody have this happen?
