Yes it is as long as you connect your hdmi to an earc input on your tv your tv remote will control both.

Yes, one of the few bars with HDMI ARC. The best way to connect to Samsung TV. Also select Dolby over PCM on your audio out option on TV. Much richer sound in Dolby surround vs. PCM. Bar will switch back and forth between the settings automatically, if source is not Dolby compatible.
