• Unfortunately, the jbl app cannot be used to disable those annoying on/off/connection tones. Works with the flip. Not sure what JBL was thinking. Great little speaker though. On that note, the link portable forces us to use google home to connect Bluetooth for the first time.

• Our JBL Clip 3 plays a startup sound when turned on, and will also play a sound when a device is successfully paired. Unfortunately these sounds cannot be disabled.

• This plays a sound bite when it's first turned on, but is not annoying or offensive by any means and also plays another brief sound clip to indicate it's paired with a source and ready for use. Again, I haven't found these tones at all annoying.
