as long as it can push at 4 ohm shouldnt be a problem, you may even can run two of them
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is more than enough. Even if you had an amplifier with 1000+ amp output, you would be able to run these with no problem. You just have to set your gains properly on the amplifier and it won’t be a problem at all. Big misunderstanding on how amplifiers work form things I’ve read online. You can even run an amp that pushes 2000 watts, as long as your gains are set properly, you do not have to worry about blowing your subwoofer. Also don’t run Boss brand amps that claim to be a million watts. Stick with a reputable brand such as Kenwood, JBL, Pioneer, Alpine or Kicker, and you’ll be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm running two of these on a JL Audio RD500/1. Previously had a single 8" Kicker L7S running on the amp. These run very well on the amp at 2 ohms. The extra cone area means I'm getting a bit more displacement which equates to a little more bass...the quality of the bass is pretty good as well. I just wish they could hit a little bit lower frequencies. And for the deal of the day pricing on these, you can't go wrong.
