Yes it can be used for karaoke and has mic & guitar connections on the back. If you look up the JBL party app on playstore or Apple it will give you more information. See my screenshots of the app. The sound quality is awesome and the battery lasts about 8 hours.

You can adjust the settings of bass, treble, and echo in the microphone when in Karaoke mode via our JBL Partybox app, available to download in the App Store or Google Play Store.
