• This speaker is absolutely awesome! It is a very versatile speaker, and robust as well. It IS designed to be placed vertically, but it can be laid on it's side. If you do, just be sure not to place it in a location where it can roll around. There are no FLAT spots on the speaker, so it could conceivably roll around on a flat surface. It does work well on a truck dash, however, since it can be wedged in place.
