Is this speaker loud, can it be used in a party? null

Yes it it fairly loud, in a room.

My house is 1500 sf and you can hear it throughout my house but I've never used it at a party

absolutely, much more powerful than you would think. Just had a bachelor party i went to last week and the use it got was well worth it and the speaker had an incredible sound to it

I'm 44 years old and most of my parties (or gatherings) consist of parents and children in an outdoor setting on a deck or patio. With that said, yes, this speaker is plenty loud enough.
