A:AnswerThis speaker is absolutely awesome! It is a very versatile speaker, and robust as well. It IS designed to be placed vertically, but it can be laid on it's side. If you do, just be sure not to place it in a location where it can roll around. There are no FLAT spots on the speaker, so it could conceivably roll around on a flat surface. It does work well on a truck dash, however, since it can be wedged in place.
A:Answermy sister has the ue boom 2. now the ue boom2 is louder, it good highs of any sound source. with doing a side by side, the mid-low, and lows sound washed out compared to the pulse 2. if you like bass go with the pulse 2, the ue is just a little louder because of the highs frequency it can output.
A:AnswerIt's listed as water resistant... not water proof. Mine has had drinks spilled on it and still works fine. Keep the cover closed on the charging port!!
