• Steam gets places water doesn't. Chemicals in hot tubs and whatever else is in your repertoire of showering washes break down seals and reduce or compromise water resistance entirely. So it would not be recommended to put it in a sauna/hot tubs/shower rooms. However you can put it outside of the rooms as it should be loud enough to be heard inside.

• Definitely. Water can splash on the speaker and it will be fine.
