“is this a better investment than the ecoxgear ecocarbon? i bought it for $60 at costco, but need to know if the jbl extreme is better even though its not "waterproof"”

definetly worth it i have the UE megaboom this is way louder more bass and longer battery life
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Even though it's labeled as "splash proof" it is actually waterproof.. check youtube.com for video evidence.. and the sound quality will definitely beat the 60$ costco speaker
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes !!! I'm a Costco shopper as well and seen the ecoxgear speaker, tested it out and it cannot compare to the JBL. I would recommend the JBL extreme to everyone.

The xtreme is splash proof so it can chill by the pool, but it can't go in. I find that a water "proof" speaker is overkill and is prone to abuse. The sound from the jbl is both richer and fuller.
