A:AnswerThe battery of the XTREME normally charges from 0 to full in 3.5 hours using the cable provided. And is rated to give up to 15-hours of playtime depending on volume level, the type of audio you are playing and the method of connection (Bluetooth or Wired).
A:AnswerHi! Yes, you can purchase a replacement power cord for the JBL Xtreme speaker. We would like to work with you directly to help you with your issue. Please submit a case request at https://www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service Team will be more than happy to assist you.
A:AnswerIt depends on how loud you have the speaker. At 50% volume, it lasts a good 16 hours so I would assume at 100% volume it would last about 8 hours.
A:AnswerYes, it can be used as a phone. Once I am connected and listening to music or any other media, if the phone rings you can answer by hitting the answer button on your phone and the other party's voice and your voice are carried through the jbl speaker. Awesome! After you hang up, the music resumes on it's own. When I connect to the extreme via Bluetooth my phone asks me if I want both media and phone or just one of the two.
A:AnswerThe CHARGE is not a JBL Connect enabled speaker that can be paired wirelessly to stream music from one source device. The only models with this feature that you can connect together are FLIP 3, BOOST TV, CHARGE 3, XTREME and PULSE 2. However, if you would like to connect a CHARGE and XTREME at the same time using one source device, you can use an AUX splitter cable which can be purchased at any electronics store.
A:AnswerIf the XTREME is used when fully charged, it should last up to 15 hours. However, speaker play time will vary due to certain reasons such as genre of music being played and volume level. So if the XTREME is playing music with loud bass and the volume is at 100%, the battery would drain faster than when you are playing mellow or soft music and the volume is at 50%.
A:AnswerIt is not meant to be "submerged". It is water-resistant/ splash-proof but not water-proof, meaning, it is not going to work if you dip it into water for a minute. There is a zipper at the bottom that is not air tight and it has usb, power, audio inputs. Water under pressure (if you submerge the speaker) will slip through the zipper, through inputs and will cause the damage. I would not play with that unless curiosity takes over and you have extra $$ to get a new one :)
But i had it near pool, ocean, sand, dust, had water splashed at it, and under mild rain - and it works great as it did. Just dry it out quickly, thats all.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerThere is not a handle to carry it, however the unit is not so wide that it can not be picked up with one hand. However that may depend on your hand size - for reference - my glove size is large. Instead of carrying from the top - you can put your hand underneath using more of a scooping motion. The speaker is not very heavy either. Hope this helps! We love this speaker. FYI accidentally It was left outside overnite recently while it rained for 12 hrs straight - perfectly protected. Works as if it never was wet.
A:AnswerThere should be a button on top of the extreme. It looks like a sideways hourglass. The instructions go into more detail. Try searching google.
