Is there a way to control the Bass on the speaker (reduce it for example) and is there an application that has equalizer functionality to use with the JBL extreme null

You can disable/enable the Bass boost by holding down the Blutooth & Vol- buttons for 10s.
Also works for Line-in.

For some reason when I do what they said(and yes it works by using the volume button and Bluetooth button) my speaker shuts off and it only does it with the volume + and Bluetooth button

I found out that apple music settings can adjust bass, in addition you can get a separate application that gives you control over settings

To reduce OR increase bass Hold Vol -- & BT buttons. Hold these together till blink (around 10 sec)/
To change back do same again.
Holding Vol+& BT button you do not influence bass - you reset the device. The bass settings will change of course to default so you might think it's a bass control - it's not.

DO NOT hold down the Bluetooth button while holding the volume up button. I did this to "increase bass" and I haven't been able to connect my speaker to my phone. I've tried every method, none of them work. The bass on the speaker is fine enough. Don't try to mess with it or it'll end up not working at all.

To reduce bass: Hold down the Bluetooth and -Vol button for 10 seconds. To restore bass: Hold down the Bluetooth and +Vol button for 10 seconds.

After a lot of try-outs I Fins The solution . It’s importent that you punch The button - and The button for Bluetooth om The JBL 10 sec. For Bas away - and for The Bass Back + 10 sec.

I press "-" button and the bluetooth button together until the light batteries wake up. Doing this, the bass is increased or decreased.

By the way, I dont know why every time I turn on my JBL, it starts in the bass increased. I dont like so much a powerfull bass, and I always have to set up to bass decrease. Someone can help me?

If you hold your power and vol up button the way to fix that is to hold your bluetooth button for 12 seconds it worked for me

Neither Bluetooth or with the use of an AUX cable will adjust the bass of XTREME portable speaker, unless the source/player  has its own equalizer that had been set up to balance the bass
