Q: QuestionI’m 71 and have bad knees. Is this a scooter I could handle? I would like to be able to get around easier, maybe even use at Disney World.
Asked by Janice.
- A:Answer Hi Janice! Thanks for reaching out to us here at Jetson! Based off of the information you've provided, we believe that the Ryder scooter would be the perfect e-scooter for you! It has a very large foot base, so if you want to ride while standing, you can! However, if you're wanting to sit while riding, the Ryder also provides you with that option! This will ensure less wear on your knees, but also allow you the convenience of getting around with ease! We hope this helps.

Q: QuestionIs this scooter ADA approved? Will malls and stores permit this scooter on their premises, for use by an elderly handicapped person?
Asked by Donny.
- A:Answer Hi Donny! The Ryder e-scooter was not created specifically for handicapped riders, but it actually sounds like it'd be the perfect option for a handicap mobility device! We have had previous members of our Jetson family use their e-device for this very reason, and we think the Ryder e-scooter would work very well for this purpose! You can find more information about ADA mobility devices at ada.gov. It might be a good idea to check with local store locations just to ensure that they will permit the Ryder on their premises under ADA guidelines. We hope this helps! Thanks for reaching out to Jetson!

Q: QuestionCan you maintain a walking speed (3 to 4 mph) with this?
Asked by Nicki.
- A:Answer Hi Nicki! You can maintain any speed you'd like on the Ryder electric scooter (up to 16mph) by quick-pressing the cruise control button on the righthand handlebar when you're at your desired speed (you can also quick-press it once more to deactivate cruise control--or engage the brake or throttle). We hope this helps. Happy riding!
