yes this can be use one at a time like i did..

Please try again later.Jlab Epic Air they CAN be used independently, even the smaller buds can be used independently ... the single, double, and triple tap features change a bit though, if you use the left ... a single tap will answer or hang up a phone call. when listening to music, a double tap pauses the music, same to resume ... I believe using the left one indepently works teh same ... one thing I've noticed is that when used alone, the left one when single tapped decreases the volume wheer the right one increases the volume - whnenwearing just one you only get volume up for right and volume down for left ( a bit annoying ) but you can always control volume from your device !!! not a real problem ... took a bit of experimentation to learn this ... pleased with the Epic Air got them half off at Christmas sale.
