Is this appropriate for a 2 year old? null

I would say no, I bought it for my 3 year old beside being afraid of it it was also to large for her head, I will be returning it today.

It depends on if they are scared of dinosaurs..or are getting into the mask roars like a raptir when mouth is open might be a little scary for 2 year old. Got one for 3 and one for 6 year old ..chin strap to control mouth and roar noise was kinda hard for 3 year old because his head was small..

I think 2 years old might be able to get a good fit.

probably not - would be too large & heavy, and its pretty hard surfaced - could be a destructive projectile

It would be too big for a two year old.
