• only if you get alerts for the emails will it read it for you. Does for texts, WhatsApp, and Facebook messenger.

• All Apple CarPlays read text messages. That functionality if actually built into your phone, not the stereo, so it doesn't matter which apple play stereo you purchase.

• That’s really a function of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (in other words... your phone). I’ve not attempted to have it read email. Also, I don't have Android, but I can vouch that mine speaks incoming texts to me flawlessly and then allows you to dictate a reply using Apple CarPlay.
