No they had to hook up the external when they installed mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Existing car microphone might or might not work with the JVC. My Toyota has 4 wire microphone so it doesn't work. Also when changing the stereo out, the existing car button to answer the phone for hands free doesn't work, and audio controls don't work. There are adapters to interface between steering wheel audio buttons and the new stereo, and they are expensive. My 2011 car does not have steering wheel audio, so I bought ALLOMN universal dvd control and PAC SW1-RC-1 interface for hands free phone. Setting it up there were some instructions but I needed info from TacomaWorld.com forum about setting the DIP switches. Search for ALLOMN or SW-1 to find that one post. The JVC comes with a microphone which is mounted on the steering column.
