With the radio turning off at higher volume levels it would be best to consult with an installer to see what the issue is there. We have our Best Buy installation team for that who you can call directly and setup an appointment. As for adding a 4 channel amp using either the front/rear preouts you are able to use a Y adapter however this only provides mid range audio. Bass applies to the subwoofer preouts only.
