A:AnswerThe instruction diagram shows 2 separate camera inputs.The rear input needs to be triggered by reverse light signal to turn on. I think the 2nd one is triggered by menu in the display...this supplies the voltage for 2nd camera to display. It does not record any video that I know. Where would it write it to? Some of your problem can be resolved with extra wiring to force cameras to trigger. If you split each camera outputs and ran them to a recording device ready to record the signal it should work. Some camera outputs are encripted..so camera selection important.
